TREATMENT FOR

TRAUMA AND PTSD

KETAMINE FOR POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, or PTSD, affects veterans, police officers, firefighters, and millions of others who have experienced or witnessed traumatic events in their lives. It is common to experience increased anxiety following a traumatic event, for some individuals, symptoms fade over time, for others, symptoms may persist. Left untreated, PTSD can lead to four distinct categories of symptoms:

  • Intrusive thoughts: include flashbacks and nightmares that are so realistic that you might feel like you’re reliving the experience. You may be distracted by memories that you can’t control and seem to emerge out of nowhere.

  • Avoidance behavior: develops as you try to stay away from people, places, and other memory triggers. Over time, avoidance behaviors can severely disrupt your ability to function and overall quality of life.

  • Negative thoughts: often include distorted beliefs about yourself or others.

  • Reactive symptoms: include irritability, angry outbursts, as well as being easily startled. You might behave recklessly or have problems sleeping.

If PTSD is interfering with your life, call or email us today to set up a free 15 minute consultation.
